Farmall 706

I just bought a 1965 Farmall 706LP. Not familiar with all the features. I have ordered manuals, but am anxious for information before they arrive. It has rear remotes-how do you operate them? The TA lever has been removed-previous owner for over 20 years said the lever was never there. How can I tell if the TA has been removed/can the tractor operate without it/if still there does it just operate in direct mode? More questions to come, I'm sure. Thanks

On the right side of the seat there are two tall leavers, they operate the rear remotes, some 706s could be bought without a ta.

Thanks. I saw the lever-only one.I thought it was the PTO lever. Could I have only one auxilliary hyd. lever,or is something missing? Where is the PTO control?

PTO lever is behind the seat on the right, it pulls up and kinda "snaps" into position. My 706 doesn't have a cab but some I've seen with cabs had a window you had to open to operate the PTO.

Two hydraulic ports = one remote. The 706 has two-way hydraulics.

A 706 usually has hydraulic outlets under the gas tank too. One pair on each side if it has two remotes. Each remote valve operates one pair of fronts, and one set of rears at the same time.

Look under the seat from the back. You'll see two valve units there if it has two. The second valve's control lever could have been broken or removed.
