I'm not familiar with that brand name, but it sure looks like to me to be a corn silage chopper. Corn (stalks) would be cut in the field and brought to the barn...fed through machine to be chopped and blown into an upright silo. I had some hands on experience with a PAPAC brand machine...belt powered off several different tractors over the years. That was replaced by a FOX 1 row cutter/chopper in the field and an ALLIS CHALMERS --self powered--blower at the silo.

couv, That is a Lietz Feed Mill! runs off of a belt drive it will grind up small hay bales the chute has a conveyer chain in the bottom and a small hammer assembly the grind it up. the Hopper has a grain cracker, that is adjusted by the tention on the the little bell housing thing seen on the LH side of machine seen in the pics #1 & #2.
Great little machine to have in a barn to grind up and mix small batchs of hay and grain. Hope this helps.

Think of it as a prerunner to the TMR (totally mixed rations). I know where one sits that it identical to it...and it also is in the woods collecting moss and lichens.

My brother is the oldest grandchild, and he remembers our Grandfather (PaPa) having one.

I just remember playing in his barn, through the short, child-sized door, which is where he ran the belt through out to a super C
