How do you Remove the Wide Front Nut

My 400 has what I think is called a Schwartz wide front. I want to remove it to get to the bolster shaft. There is a very large nut with a set screw that is in the center of part of a frame rail bracket that spans the frame rails just ahead of the oil pan. I removed the set screw, spun the nut a few turns, and hit the unit with a dead blow and nothing gave. What am I missing here?

The front of the tractor is supported by a splitting stand, and all the weight is off the front end. My plan is to use an engine lift to support the Schwartz and get it out of the way if I can get the large nut/bolt off.

Remove the entire front end as a unit.

OK, that worked. Floppy mess! I forgot to put the bolster shaft nut back on the top, and that really complicated things when the shaft started dropping at the same time.
