IH C-3 mower on cub loboy

I can"t keep the belt from the tractor pto from twisting. It runs good for a while, then twists. Tried a new belt, same thing. Are you supposed to put a twist in it the opposite way when you put it on?

I noticed the same thing on the one mower I had on one of my cubs. I never used the mower though so can't help you much, but I bet that they are supposed to be that way. Or it's just a characteristic of them mowers.

Take belt off and before you do mark the top side then lay it on the ground flip it over and install. Iv had to do that sometimes with a new belt and it has work ok for me. Having the belt tight helps also/

you need a woods mower manual or whoever made the mower to properly install the belt. the belt probably does have a twist in it.
