966 Leaking feul

After close investigation the 966 is leaking feul around the primer pump. The shaft on the plunger device that sticks up. Is there an o ring that can be replaced on that,Does it require special tools? I dont think this is a 1000 dollar rebuild of the pump, at least i hope not??/

Model 100 pump can have leaks in several places, head assy, throttle shaft, hand primer, etc. If you like, call 574 893 4172 later in evening, can explain more details. Have been repairing pumps since 1976.

craigreavley, Yes there are some o-rings that will work for a while. But in the end you will still need to go to CaseIH and buy a new plunger, About $75.00 + or - a little. I played with and played with mine for 3+ yrs, I could get it to stop leaking for a while and then the next time I used the tractor again it would start all over again leaking. Put a new one on and I have not been happier. After you loose $75 to $80 dollars of Diesel you will be driving fast to your nearest Dealer!
