H Ignition Switch

Is there any way to get into the insides of the push-pull ignition switch to clean things up, remove rust?

You can very careful remove the bottom cover. Before i would try that take the top nut off that holds the sw in position and then use wd-40 or something like that spray and move the plunger back and forth then blow out with compressed air and you should get it working again. I have done that to several and got them working great again.
