Does anyone know how many Farmall Super AMD tractors were built? Are they worth anything or just scrap value? So far as I can tell they are basically an AW7-Diesel in a Farmall M frame and with narrow front axle. A friend of mine has found one, completely hidden in blackberry bushes and asked if I wanted it. I have no idea what to offer him. Any help appreciated.

I can't imagine that there are all that many of any Australian-built Farmalls. Certainly not on the scale of Hs and Ms. If that particular model were over here in the states, it would be worth restoring regardless of the cost.

Even if it's not worth restoring of its own accord, it's good for parts to get other Super AMDs running.
 
I am going to have a look at it early in the New Year. We'll see how it looks. The chap I work for knows the tractor and said it used to be a very good machine, but that was thirty years ago, so it could be in any condition by now. I'll try to get some pictures of it to post here.
