Somebody somewhere was asking about one. This would be the correct seat for a Regular

it didn't happen to have some type of leaf spring did it? I have a seat like that in the barn and I think its got a leaf coming out from the front?

Cowman, when did they switch over? I have one with just the few holes in it. Is mine a later replacement or just plain wrong?

the picture shows a seat that i identify with as being installed on a piece of horse drawn equipment, such as rake or mower or disc harrow. most of the pan seats that i have seen on a tractor did not have more than one hole in the seat.

from what ive gathered it was around 35 or so

That MB488 seat was used on O-12 tractors after serial number OS1946 (in 1936) and on later W-12 tractors when they also got the side-hinged seat. Horse drawn reaper binders had them until January 1937. They ar e also in the parts book for the 10-20 and so I suppose the Regular also. The F-20 and F-12 Farmall got a deeper pan seat which was also fitted to the binders after Jan 1936.

Yes, A leaf spring. But implements used a leaf spring too. And as athol carr stated that same pan was used on implements too.

You are welcome I'm sure Mark. I was at a show this summer and started to notice different seats so I thought it would be fun to see how many I could spot. All those were at the same show.
