Pinhole Final Drive Leak

I have a minuscule hole in the final drive pan on my 1966 140. It is barely visible when held to the light, less than 1/64th. There is a small dimple on the outside, maybe a rock hit from the BushHog? How do I fix this? Do I need to make it bigger? JBWeld? CrazyGlue?

It's right near the bottom, so only half an inch of gear oil stays in the pan. The pan is otherwise perfect. Thanks for any suggestions.

J B Weld. Simple and effective. I used it on the air filer cup on my F-20 and it worked like a champ. I used it on the inside, and the small bit that oozed through, I just sanded smooth and painted over

If the pan is thin (easily pushed in in spots) I
would either replace it, or cut out the bad and weld
in new. If just one small area is affected, I would
Braze it. Clean and wire brush till shiny, then
braze from the inside. This leaves little on the
outside to look bad. I use JB weld also, but not
when I have it off of the vehicle. Jim

I don't know how to weld or braze and I only have a propane torch. I can sweat copper tubing real well and solder electronics, but this thing is so small, I'm going to take a shot at JBWeld. If it doesn't work, I'll take it to somebody to braze it. I think I should drill it out to 1/16" or the JBWeld won't go through the tiny hole. Sound right? As I said, pan is perfect except for one tiny pinhole.

Clean the inside and clean a real copper penny
Solder that over the hole (inside after flattening
the dimple) it will be for ever. Jim

Have it brazed as the JB will weep thru i found that out many yrs ago. Get that done and the pan filled as no more lube than you new have the upper bearing on the diff shaft isnt getting lubed.

Sheet metal screw with the rubber washer, that will stop the leak then clean it good and use JB weld over the screw..

Thanks for the ideas. I liked the screw and penny ideas but the hole is on the 90° bend between the bottom and the side. Since I can't braze, I went with JBWeld. I tried to drill out with a 1/16" bit and it pushed right through. I kept going up in size until I actually had to DRILL to get through, which was 3/32". Dremel-ed it clean and shiny inside and out, degreased with mineral spirits, and pushed the JBWeld through the hole from the inside, filling the dimple nicely on the outside and leaving some in the bend in the inside. It looks good to me.

Again, thanks for all the help.
