Super C coil issues.

Finally getting my Super C project together but been having some problems with the coil. I have power going into the coil but I do not have any power coming out of the coil like there should be.

So does anybody know why/ or possible causes that would restrict the power from going out?

Is there anything I should try or look for?

Thanks

Try cleaning the points with some 320 wet or dry until shiny. Check your point gap when the rubbing block is sitting on the high point of the lobe. I think the gap is .020". Hal

If you were to put a test lamp on the coils input (NOT to distributor) terminal (other test lamp lead to frame ground) and turn on the ignition, THE LIGHT SHOULD LIGHT AS VOLTAGE SHOULD BE PRESENT

HOWEVER if the tractor is just setting there not running with ignition ON and you put the lamp over on the output to distributor terminal ID EXPECT IT TO BE OFF SINCE THE POINTS ARE LIKELY CLOSED THEN.....(if alls wired up correctly and the points are working good and closed)

If you turn her on and crank her over a test lamp on the coils output or distibutor input (from coil) terminal should flash ON (points open) and OFF (points closed)

Heres my Ignition troubleshooting procedure, give it a try
