W6 tire size

Could some one tell me the correct tire size for the rear wheels on a W6. The tires on there now are 13 X 26. It sits rather low in the rear and I was wondering if it has the wrong tires on it.
Thank you

I think the tire size is probably correct. Yes, they do set kind of low in the rear.

The Nebraska test book 1940 test W6 had 13.50x24 and the W9 had 13.50x32 the fronts were 6.50x16.Not sure what todays size that would be.The WD 6 had 14-30.

Well my W-6 had 15-30 and I'm running a 16.9 x 30 now. It seems to look like it's squating when pulling. I wish I would have gone to a 18.4 x 30 tire. Good luck on whatever you decide.

My WD-9 has 34 inch tires on it. They are also 18.4s but I know that is wider than stock.

The early ones had those old tire sizes, the newer 30 inch wide base rims and tires hadn't come out yet.
Our 1948 W-6 had 14-30 rear tires on it with 6.00-16's on the front. It looked "nose down" when setting still and level when pulling hard.
If you can find an old W-6 sales brochure, you find a couple of pictures of the older W-6's in there with the 24 inch rear tires...the cast centers have round holes instead of the later triangular holes like the 30 inch centers have.
