How do I know I have right springs?

The only way to know for sure is to buy new springs from IH. The springs for my Super C are two different sizes. One is bigger around than the other.

The best way is to have the dist. put on a Dist. strobe and have the advance curve checked to the spec.'s in the book.

you keep asking the same question, and get the same (correct) answer.

When I rebuilt my H the NOS springs were NLA. I think I used the lightest springs for a small block GM motor from Summit Racing.

Like others have said, the distributor turns relatively slowly, you will need very light springs. Or look for an old auto electric shop near you. They may have a distributor machine. If not, ask them who does.
