UT Carter Carb question for 1950 Super A

Alright here's another question. My Carter Carb seems to drip gas from a little hole in the very bottom of it. I can't tell if there are threads inside this hole or if there's supposed to be some type of plug. Can't find info, please take a look at photo's the little hole is pretty much in the middle center of photo and carb.

Thanks for looking and any help you can offer!

Shame to paint after getting it looking so clean....

That hole has, or at least is supposed to, A felt filtering material in it. The hole is meant to be there to allow condensation to escape rather than just pooling in the bottom of the carb. A little dripping is normal and can never be eliminated, but if gasoline is dripping from that hole on a steady basis, there is a problem with the needle and seat and/or the float. The float MAY be leaking, or it may just be improperly adjusted to the incorrect float height.
Consult your manual for the correct settings and do not guess at it.

If is dripping the float is either to high or the needle isnt seating gas will run out there if the fuel bowl is too full.

Well, that did not turn out well.....if you wish to open up your email I can send you a pdf file containing two pages of specs, part numbers, etc for the Carter carb.
