H/M Oil Filter Base Interchange

Can anyone tell me if the oil filter base (part attached to block) is the same between an H and an M?

Got and H in need of one, and an M with all the parts I can get for 15 cents a pound!

The early M used a different base with a larger filter. Ms from engine serial number 59934 and up are the same as the H.

the h uses pn. 6253dbx and the m uses pn. 6253dbx after sn.fbkm59394. if you look close I belive the pn. is cast into the base.hope this helps, good luck, stumper
