i bought an international 240 and need a loader, a simple dump type,aroumd a few hundred dollars, what are some models and brands that will fit on it without major modifications. i have a loder on my m but that would require cutting and welding and even then probally wouldn't work good
 
IH loader models like the 1501, 1701, 2000, and 2001 all had versions that fit the 240.

The only way you can be 100% sure it will fit is if you take the loader off another 240 like yours though. Bracket kits are impossible to find separate from the loader unless you are VERY lucky.

Without going out in the cold and trying to see the decal through the re-paint, I believe mine is an IH-Wagner 120, but it has a hydraulic bucket.
 
Sorry, not for sale. Got it mainly to clean up after an ice storm a few years ago and now used mainly for snow removal or moving a little dirt. Doesn't get used much, but handy when I need it. Originally was plumbed to the tractor hydraulics, but at some point (probably when the CharLynn power steering was added) a crank driven pump and separate valves were added for the loader. Pump on tractor would have been very slow.... PS uses primary flow and 3 point secondary.... that takes up all the flow. If you are adding a loader, I'd sure recommend a second pump, even if you don't have power steering. Reservoir for the loader is in the loader frame.
 
I have a I H 2001 loader that I swaped for a 20000 the 2001 has a single tilt on the bucket that leaks. it is missing the bracket that bolts to the front of the trator. all said I will let it go for scrap price
