Transmission refill

Probably a silly question but my manual does not give an answer. I'm ready to refill my transmission case with oil. My book says 6 quarts. Do I need to add some to the PTO separately or does it fill as I add to the trans case? Thanks!

Transmission and PTO all the same oil but did you drain the PTO area it has its own drain but uses the same oil so 2 or 3 drains and one fill. Sorry do not remember for sure how many drains but know it is one fill

It is about 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 quarts total. There is a check plug on the left side of the transmission, behind the left side brake rod. Don't overfill it.

I always put a half quart or so directly into the PTO, just to make sure it is lubed from the start. Maybe it's needed, maybe not, but it sure won't hurt. The transmission and PTO share lube oil.
