First I want to thank everyone of you guys that helped in a 1 week on going problem starting an M I had posted 2 nights looking for imput, and boy did I get it. Here Is what took place. I had bad spark in the beginning So Pulled the mag install new coil, condensor, cleaned and set points. Got good spark to coil wire ok, Got spark to plugs at TDC, so put some gas to it and it should start. After last nights post El toro (hal) and Gene Bender brought up Mag timing and rotor alignment. Got me thinking I have spark but not good enough to light off the gas in the cylinders and floods easy. I would get a little smoke but no good pop. So I went out today and went through things again. When changing coil I had not pulled rotor gears to see if they were set correct. So now I pulled rotor gear out and after a call to John Brillman on cause"s of poor spark from cap and wire, He also said rotor alignment. If it is off 1 or 2 teeth you could still get spark but not strong. It was not set correct so I had bad mag timing. Once I set it correct gave a little choke she started right up. I have never been so close but yet so far. I new it would be simple but stupid. Again Thanks to all! You guys are the best! Oldiron29
