Super A Engines

Question, are the engines from a Farmall Super A and a Farmall Super C interchangeable?
Thanks in advance for the help.

The Super A's and Super C's that had the 354898R1
block both used the same block that had the C123 engine. The earlier Super A's had the C113 engine, but could be boosted to C123 cid with an over bore kit. I think any of these blocks would interchange. The Farmall C had the C113cid block and it could probably be used
as it had hydraulics too. Hal

El Toro is on it, there is a difference in the sleeves on some 123 engines so sleeves must be checked for bottom diameter if a kit is ordered to rebuild one. If the complete engine is used, no issue. Jim

Jim's advice on the sleeve dimensions on the Super A blocks is very important. The early Super A's probably used a sleeve that measured 6-7/8" long and the diameter of the sleeve at the seal measured 3-5/16". The later Super A's and the Super C's had sleeves that measured 7-1/32" in length and the sleeve diameter was 3-7/16" at the seal. Hal

I bolted a Super A Head to a 130/230 block. I didn't measure the sleeves. I just studied the casting number on the blocks and assumed the block was for a 130/230 block and I was right.

I ordered two different kits to assemble my hybrid motor ( block and valve train) and I'm very proud of it.

So the answer is a definitive YES!

I also had to mill the head and the block cause the surface was uneven enough that anti-freeze could have leaked in the oilpan.
