If the block is cracked, they crack the water jacket behind the carb.

If you got antifreeze in a cylinder its either the head or head gasket. The heads are rather robust and rarely break as the block blows out first. A cylinder full of water could break a sleeve but it would have to be much colder than 30 to do that. Not sure you could ever break a sleeve by freezing the block.

I doubt the block is cracked by your explanation. Heads and sleeves usually don't crack and leak either. My F-20 had a 5 inch crack (similar to the above picture, only on a F-20) in the block, but mine didn't leak into the combustion chamber. I would think maybe the head gasket started seeping. If it didn't leak before, it may just be a "tear into it" situation. Someone else may have a better diagnosis.

ok yea theres no crack on the outside behind the carb, but if it got antifreez in the cylinder then its eather the head or head gasket? im only 16 and this is my first tractor... kinda new to this.. iv got it in the shed with the hood and the manifold off, i can get to the top ao shoild i take off the head?????

Yes, pull the head off. These motors have wet sleeves, they are thick grey cast Iron and go from the deck just below the head through the block into the crankcase. Very very unlikely for water to get into one from the block. A leaky head gasket is my best guess. Take the head off and clean the head and deck very well and then check them for trueness with a strait edge. Check that head over good for cracks or take it to a motor shop and have them check it. If it checks out put one of the new style fiber head gaskets in it with copper coat sealant on both sides.

thank you, and it never leeked till today... iv had it running for just past 2 years in august.... but its never done this, but thank you for the advice, it rele helps me as a young collector

I'm with the head gasket, head crowd. If you don't see an obvious issue with the gasket look the head over good, especially up in the ports. I have seen them get very thin and either crack or just rust through into the port. You might just see tiny hole or maybe small water trail, poke around with a screwdriver a bit and you will go right through like a rotten egg shell. I had one do this a couple years ago, got a small puff when it started, maybe just a smell. If it sat a long time a bigger cloud. Then one day plowing it cut loose like a mosquito fogger. Pulled the head and all looked well until I saw a crack in the exhaust port, poke my finger right through it. I guess 70 plus years of heat and corrosion got to it.

Check the head bolts...if you run it in the summer, and it's 30degrees now, they could be loose.

Also, note: The f12, regular, f20, f30, 10-20, 15-30, etc pre-1939 do not have water pumps. So if you add anti-freeze, you need to pre mix it and the run the tractor for about an hour to get it plenty hot so that the thermal siphon can mix it good.

Actually the F30, W30, 22-36, and the W40 series all have water pumps
