farmall 300 or 300U radiator..

im sorry guy,s i know ive asked this before, but i am posting again to see if anyone has done this before..
i cannot find a radiator for an IH 300U but was wondering if someone out there has ever modified a farmall 300 rowcrop radiator to fit a Utility?
the noses of the 2 tractors look the same, and was hoping i could get a farmall 300 radiator and modify it....dont wanna pull the radiator out of my 300U yet, would like to get some info if possible first....thanks in advance.

I think, but do not know!!, that my brother put a 350F rad in our 350U. THe only differerence is the Hole for the steering shaft. But that depends on my memory of 12 years. Jim

Not 100% sure but don't the headlight brackets bolt to the radiator on a utility? I know 330U lights do. That would be a major difference.

I have a row crop radiator I could measure the dimentions tomorrow and compare to the old utility one if you have it. The side metal pieces from a utility one could be installed on the row crop radiator for light mounts or you can probably rig up light mounting to the row crop. Only thing that concerns me is I think things are tight on the sides of the lower part of a utility. Think I remember the utility sides or bottom tank not as wide on lower part, but can't be sure thats why I wondered if you have the old one to measure.

if the light mounts are the only issue that would surely be a breeze, i did manage to measure the radiator in my 300U and the dimensions are exact to the rowcrop. would make sense these 2 tractors have alot of similarities so im sure IH took the rowcrop radiator and tweeked it to make it work for the U..ahhh i think i will just yank it tomorrow and order one up, i will let you know how i make out and chime back in for all you U owners out there, thanks a ton once again fellas, your a good bunch!!

your local radiator shop should be able to recore it.i had mine done a few years back,and i put a new thermostat in,too.

On my 300U the light brackets are mounted to the sides of the grill where it wraps around the sides of the radiator.
