got a simple question. Intake/exhaust manifold gasket on the 460 gas. Which way does the steel go? steel on gasket go against block or against the manifolds?
 
I replaced mine a few years ago and don't remember a problem. Doesn't it only fit one way? -- or can it be reversed?
 
I "believe" - but don't quote me on this - that the steel goes on the maifold side because it allows the manifold to slide and move a little when it heats up and expands.
