Farmall 560 hydraulic pump

I have a Farmall 560 that the hydraulic pump seems to be stuck in high output and when the tractor gets ANY kind of load on it (driving, working the bucket, etc) the tractor dies. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this and how to correct?

First off check to make sure the single to double action setting on each aux hydraulic valve is set correctly. Often the roll pin gets bent or broke and the control will turn too far causing system to stay on demand. Other thing is check the orfice screen in the regulator valve assembly Block with four bolts holding cover on. It is a screwdriver headed screen with orfice. The relief valve is also under there and has a very heavy spring so take out a couple of bolts first and use two longer ones to continue removal. Regulator piston has an o-ring that may be shot also.

The roll pins look good, Do I need to drain the hydraulic fluid and pull the pump out to get to the regulator valve assembly block?

The regulator block sits right along side of the aux valves, right in vicinity where the large hose comes from pump, by clutch pedal. No draining necessary, just take the small cover off block. If shield is in place you will have to it first.
