1086 shifter stuck

The Hi Lo Rev Park lever is stuck in Park on my IH 1086. It"s been setting for 9 or 10 months. Any ideas where to start looking?

It sounds like the one on my 1586. I just pour some motor oil down the shift lever until it reaches the pins or whatever, and jiggle it a few times, it always comes free. But I have had that happen numerous times when it has been sitting up for a few months.

If it's in a bind (that is, sitting on a slope) try bumping the 10 with another tractor to take the pressure off park.

Found it. The vertical pin that moves up & down where it enters the tranny cover to engage/disengage PARK was rusted due to a mouse nest. I assume mouse pee was the catalyst. A little WD-40 and now it"s good again.

Thanks for the help
