H cultivator and battery box questions

I just got this parts machine delivered today and I am wondering if there is anything worth saving on that cultivator or if I should scrap it. I have never had cultivators before so I am not sure what is what or if any of it is any good. The tractor only has the one side on it for some reason. My other question is about the battery box, it is the first one I have had that has a battery box on it and I am guessing it is a repro but is there any way I can tell for sure? Any advice will be much appreciated.

Messed up on the pictures again.

It was in such good shape that I thought it couldn't be as old as the
rest of the tractor, but maybe it was stored inside and then put on
the tractor at some point by a previous owner. Thanks for the tip.

Any chance it's got the old "ratchet" style throttle? I'd sure like to own one of those again; miss it every time I use my H. :>)

Your battery box is original.

Some might be interested in the cultivator parts, test the water on that. There is a spring missing under the cylinder. Other than that it is not of much value as I don't see any right side parts, nor rear wheel track sweeps. The battery box is a great find. The remaining components are pretty good as well. Engine Stuck I presume. Jim

Thanks for the reply. The engine is indeed stuck and the only cultivator parts I have are the left ones in the picture. I guess I will try the cultivator assembly on Craigslist for scrap price and see if anyone wants it for a little while. I think the rear tires are original, or at least quite old, since they say 10-38 on the side.

Is this the kind of throttle? I'm not sure on the terminology, I have an old M+W friction throttle that came on my H and I like it quite well. I generally sell a used throttle for $25, I think I can put it in a flat rate envelope that ships for $5. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks for the confirmation on the battery box.

Do you mean sawtooth? Looks like that to me.

I think this is not sawtooth because the teeth are square, but I'm
not sure if that is the difference or not.
Zach

That's the 'replacement' type.

I'm looking for the sawtooth style that they came from the factory with.

Thanks for looking tho,

Allan

Allen, a NEW sawtooth throttle is available aftermarket. Kind of pricey though. I put one on my 1950 H and it works very well.

I couldn't tell you if the battery box is original or not, but I've never seen them installed there before :D

Sorry, couldn't resist... ;)
