656 Utility Bolster

Hi,

I have an early 656 Gas Hydro Utility wide front end. The Bolster is badly worn, with about 1/2" of space above the spindle in the front. Can this be repaired, or is it better to find a new front end.

A bushing could be machined to fit the egg shape by a competant machinest. Off setting a thick walled pipe would make the piece. then holding it in plase with a couple of locating dowels and there it is. It is not difficult, just enginuity. Jim

I can't get the pin out. I used my giant press to no avail. There doesn't seem to be any pins holding it in place anymore. Any ideas?
