Found a smta distillate and wondering how rare is it
In good average condition what's it worth?

It is on the rarer side of things, how many were actually made i dont think a number exist to look at. It maybe worth 500 or so more then a gaser if it has all its distillate parts, but that would be shot it dark. It seems the over all price of Super MTA;s have come down in the last year. Maybe 3500 to 4500 ?

very rare in my part of the country but more commom than a gas one in the far southern area.

I would say the value of MTA"s have maintained not dropped. A Picture would help us give you a better estimate.

Yes, I would consider a SMTA distillate burner to be RARE. Double rare if it has magneto ignition. Any estimate of actual value would be pure speculation.
