hello im new to this so here we go i have an international 574 gas tractor, had tractor a part to put a clutch in it so everthing was apart so in between waiting for parts i cleaned the carb wasnt really bad but anyhow i got everything back together and tractor runs very rich will chase you out of the garage in less than 5mins,raw fuel on inlet side of carb did put a new fuel shut off solenod on it,also did a tune up cap rotor wires and even a new fuel pump old was leaking what should i look for dont wanna get stuck snows on its way and i need firewood and a clean driveway

Assuming you have it set right, you may have damaged the float. Id pull it back apart and make sure all of that is moving good. A little trick, while its running, shut the fuel off and let it run out. If it gets better, its too rich.If not, its something else.

I think you forgot to take the main jet out of the old shut off and install it in the new one. If it has an IH carburetor this would not apply but I think you have a zenith or marvel schebler on that model.

thanks i will double check but it did this with the old one i only replaced it because i dropped it and the wire came loose and would not let fuel in so i bought a new one any other ideas

Well, that puts a different slant on the it if it did it with old one. What carburetor do you have.

The marvel schebler is the type of carburetor with the main jet installed in the electric shut off and the jet is threaded so you can just screw it out. Is it possible you took jet out of original shut off when you worked on carb and didn't put it back in. Or, also, there may be a groove for an o-ring on that shut off come to think of it and leaving it off gasoline would bypass the main jet. And no , they are not adjustable as it is a fixed main jet. I have seen these shutoffs replaced and guys forgot to take the jet out of old one so basically, no control of fuel at all.

you were correct new one did not have a jet in it.brain fart, still rich but way better than it was, left idle in garage for 15 mins before i had to open all the doors, idles good but when you increase throttle it pops back through the carb possible timing issue would you happen to know what curb idle timing is and what high rpm is and what rpm is high im guessing 1500? what else can i do to lean this out if any at all could old gas be causing the pop and rich condition
