I have the chance to get another H. I really want an M but they are rare around here. I have my SM for heavy stuff but the offer is pretty sweet. An H and a pull behind picker for a not to bad of price. The tires are all brand new on the H but itll need a little work. I wish I had more money but am much more fortunate in other areas so I can live with that. What to do?

Well, I work on the principle that the sins omission are worse than the sins of commission. If you get the H and an M turns up later, you can always sell the H. Similar dilemma here for me. I just bought an M and now the chap says his cousin will sell me a Farmall AM. Really looking for an AW-7 Diesel, but they are thin on the ground and the AM is on offer; I'll probably buy it.

Buy it!You will enjoy a smaller, more economical tractor.And.....if the right M comes along, you can sell the H-wrong!!you can never have too many tractors.LOLGood luck.

I like SadFarmall's response, but here's another if there's a spouse involved, " It's easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission ", works for me !, I agree, you can never have enough Farmalls

DON'T DO IT.

If you want an M, hold out for the M.

Otherwise you're going to end up with this H, and settle for a lesser M in the future that you'll just have to sink a ton of money into to make it what you want it to be.

Do what I do - take the money you would have spent on this - stick it in a jar, then add your change & dollar bills to it every day until you can find what you really want.

Having that extra cash, whatever it turns out to be, will only expand your buying opportunities.

It's very tough not acting on impulse, but you'll be glad you waited when you see a perfect condition M with all sorts of extras sitting in some old timer's barn.

if the h has new tires, theres a grand sitting there in just rubber alone. a decent h around me will bring 1k to 1500 dollars, a pull type picker wouldnt be bad to have, wish i still had a picker. the townies pay 5 dollars for 6 ears of field corn for squirrel and deer feed. wouldnt mind picking a load and then selling it for some pocket money!!! an h is good on fuel, and a nimble tractor, tho not a lot of horsepower. tough call.

If the price is right for the tractor and the cornpicker, AND you have the funds to do it, then I would buy it. If I remember correctly, you are not that far from me in Pa. Also, this answer is predicated on the fact that you can use the picker.

I can find you an M in about a week..........better yet, if you find one and need it hauled, I'll be happy to help you out with that as well, ie. I'll haul it for you for a tank of gas........

ok, just found 2 running M's in Dayton Pa. One is $1300 and the other is $1500. both look decent, although the $1500 looks to be in better shape as you would expect.

Not sure what you were going to pay for the H and the picker, but if it is one of these prices, here's your M........

and if hauling it is a problem, like I said, I will haul it for you for the cost of fuel.

Thanks Tom, the main thing with this H is convenience. Its about
10 miles from my house. I know if I wanted to get an M I could. I
don't really need one but eventually would like to get one. I have my
Super M if i need anything to do some heavy duty work. I will
eventually get my dream collection but until then convenience and
the good deal will probably prevail. And thanks for the hauling
offer. I appreciate that.

Why you gotta put that kind of pressure on me?! haha. I am still
thinking it over. I want another H because I have a set of cultivators
for an H but I'm sure they'd mount to an M. And I want the M cause
I want something with a little more power. Plus eventually I'll have
H, SH, M, SM, SMTA, and maybe and MD. Thinking big at least haha

Haha U sound like me 1 of em all . I have the super m and the m but thinking im gonna stick with the super.Allways wanted an H.

That's what I think.

I was in your neighborhood yesterday. Started up by Sugar Grove and then worked my way down to Kendall county line or so. I saw two of your watertowers so I must have been close.

well heck, if you were in sugar grove you were about 10 miles north of the shop. come straight down rt 47 over the fox river bridge, the shop will be on your left side about 6 blocks or so south of the river in yorkville. if you go past the napa, you're two buildings too far south. stop in next time yer in the area. m-f 8-5.
