What"s the story with 3 pt on a 504? Was it an option or was it just on later years? Went to look at a tractor and forgot to look at serial #.

the hitch of any kind was an option.

I don't know when or if the 504 got a 3 point, but if it is aftermarket it will be bolted to the axle housings. If it is more or less attached to the rear end and pulls from underneath the tractor it is likely factory. (lousy description) You could be looking at a 3 point adapter plugged into the fast hitch, also.
