Last load of firewood home.

Today we got our last load of firewood home for next winters heat. This is our 18th load of Maple. We block it with 3 husky chainsaws. Our trailer holds a bit over a cord. After unloading the wood, we put the 2350 loader back on the 766. I still have about 3 or 4 cord to split and pile, and it'll take hours to get the 766 clean again. I would like to build a trailer for hauling firewood in 8 ft lengths, Maybe for next fall, i'll have something figured out.
What does everyone else use to haul their firewood? Pictures please. Kent

There's a few fellas around here that got old manure spreaders with the beaters cut off. The apron chain unloads their firewood and they can be stacking as it slowly unloads...ok if you are piling outside, could unload it all to toss in a basement I suppose. We have a big dump trailer and I use an old pickup truck.Son in law likes the dump trailer for his wood gathering.

For fire wood use the old self unloading wagons.
They were used for ear corn back in the day. I have six of them and one barge box with a hoist.
The self unloading wagons work the best. You can control them from the rear. I found most of them at auctions cheep.

That"s what I use, replaced the floor with 1-1/8" treated decking, and the pto unloads it in about 15 minutes, saves a lot on the back.
Just finished hauling my 4 full cords in for this year.
I only take out dead trees, and it sure saves a lot of money on fuel oil.
Can"t beat the wood heat.
Anyone else use a Charmaster oil/wood furnace, this is the 4th year for mine and never have to start a fire, load the firebox, turn up the oil and it starts ignites the wood.
