The cyclinder sleeve seals are $23 apiece at IH. Is that a good price? What type of seal does it need to be? Buna, or Viton or something different than these?

Ih does not have rings available. I can get them from the Hastings Web site. Are all rings the same?

I do not think I have any of the nuts for the head. I will need to buy some. Are they a grade 5 or 8 nut? Do they need to be larger than the standard nut? Will a standard nut work if I make thick flat washers to go under the nut?

Thank you
Steve

Check out Rice Equipment. The cylinder o rings are $6.99 each.

Steve, If you own an old farmall one of the best source"s of info and part is Rice equipment. If you get the chance to talk to Gordon you have spoken to an excellent IH old timer. I can not believe what this man has in his head. oldiron29

I pretty much deal strictly with Aldersons here in Iowa. They have all the parts your looking for

Rice equipment is an excellent source for parts. I do have to say, that Gordon has finally retired. The business is still open, and his son is running it in tandem with Joe's Farmall Parts. Joe Rice, that is. Gordon ran the older than 1939 business, and Joe his son runs the 1939 and newer business.

Looks like Joe will be running both of them now. I drove up to see Gordon this summer, and we chewed the fat for almost 2 hours. Good man.

Thank you for the information on the web sites to visit. I will check on them soon.
