Since it is Veterans day,I was wondering if anyone has any neat Army/Navy/Airforce/Marine Corp tractor pictures???? I really dont care what "brand" they were??? I saw a pretty cool yellow farmall farther down in some "Plow Day" photos, but I do not see too many of them in their "military work cloths these days(TOO BAD:(

One of my friends DID NOT paint his Massey Harris back to the Military colors that it originally was because he thought poeple would think HE was the one who painted it that way,NOT the military. :(

heres my Dads '42 Kerosene H. under the yellow is OD green and under that its red. i dont supsect it was specifically built for the GOV, but it was probably purchased once it was built and painted hence the red underneath. bought it from a Govt auction

Don't have any pictures but I have a TD-14 that was equipped with a turret and crane on an extended superstructure. It has two winches. It was gov't surplus and dates from WW2. I believe it has always had yellow paint. It has perfect street grousers and pins. I suppose it belonged to the Army Engineers or Seabees.

Mike not a very good picture but the only kind of military tractor I was around. Does have the IH emblem, does that count?

(quoted from post at 17:45:26 11/11/11) Is that the standard "early" style wide front end??? man, those things REALLY stick out in front, dont they??? :)

that is the earliest style of that wide front. it still uses the cast iron center tube (lika an F-20) and not a mild steel tube like later ones. There is a flat plate on th ebottom with multiple holes and you can slide the base back under the front edge of the engine to get the centerline of the wheels back as if it were a narrow front
