IH parts lookup

I got 20 or so part numbers to look up- I tried the Case IH website, but it says you have to register with a dealer. Is that true- if so, how much work does it take to get registered? Anyone got any other ideas? I'd like to see what machines these parts fit, what they are worth now, and get them sold. Thanks for any advice!

I went to the site several times in the last few days and am on it now. (I am not a dealer or retailer of any kind)
Choose your country
Choose parts and service (top line of labeled icons)
On that page, under the large splash screen photo, is a small computer screen. Below that is a red line in small print that states "Search For Genuine CaseIH Original Parts" Under that in small print is a segment in red that says "search for parts" Pick that link and it will take you to the Search by Model page. On that page is a Help icom that will lead you to the method of putting in part numbers. Good luck, Jim

The site won't tell you what parts fit what. That would be too thoughtful. You only have to register (select a dealer) if you want prices. They will only have prices on stuff that's in the system i.e. not all IH & JI Case parts are in there.

Thats the same thing I got to when I tried. I got these parts- I want to know what they fit so I can market them better. I got a good idea, but I'm not 100% sure on all of them. Its almost looking like I have to buddy up with a parts guy at a dealership to get this done right....

There is still an older version of the CaseIH website available and external_link is the same as the old CIH sight, unless they have changed recently, and gives the prices some of which are out of date, though.

There were master parts books available for a while (the early 1960's ?) that would tell you which machine a part fits. I think some only told which parts book the part number was listed in, though. If there were more than 1 machine in the book, you had to go to the index in that book to figure it out. Later on, this information was available on microfiche.

GOOGLE the part #'s. You won't get "hits" on all of 'em, but, likely, a good percentage will come up with info that will help identify what they fit.

I use a set of Case-IH Where Used Catalog microfiche. If you want to email me the numbers, I can look them up for you.
