3 position switch - original

I have two subject switches from Farmall Super A tractors. These are Delco Remy and appear to be original with the tractors. Questions....

1. Will one of these switches work on a 1950 Farmall Cub with 6v generator and voltage regulator?

2. Will one of these switches work on a 1951 Super A with 12v alternator system?

Both will work fine in that application. 12v or6v matters not. The only restriction is that the dimmer coil will not stand wattage higher than normal for lights. So original 6 or 12v light bulbs no issue. If brighter lights are needed, LED lamps with correct base configuration are now available that put out much more light, and draw less current. Finding them is not an issue with Google.
Or you can use a relay to energize more intense lights for the alternator equipped tractor as it will keep up with real illumination. Jim

Best of luck, clean the terminals shiny, use terminal ends solder and shrink tube on the connections, and when attached, use a rust inhibitor (or antioxidant cream like for aluminum wires) to keep it operational. Jim

Wow! Mind reader.

I've just started a thread questioning how to keep terminals clean and rust-free after getting them shiny.

Any brand name or specifics on the product you mentioned to accomplish this.

LPS brand inhibitor, or go to Menards/Home Despot/or Lowes and get the cream from the electrical section of the store. Jim
