This is the Farmall H that my brother bought for me to take on tractor rides. I told him that I couldn't ride a red one....so he fixed it. Actually a nice tractor with the M&W nine speed in it.

I have somewhere on one of my drives pics of JD's in IH colors, IH's in JD colors.
I have pics of pink JD's and IH's.
A Farmall H? painted in Sunoco colors and a JD painted Ford blue.
They all give me a chuckle.
Edit: I have a pic of a Farmall painted JD colors hiding amongst the JD's at a tractor show!

You know, I actually think your brother is on to something.......THAT is how you make a quality JD! Trick a Farmall into THINKING it is a JD.

Had a neighbor paint a Farmall 'H' green. He had a lot of fun with it, but sure hurt the resale when he had his closing out auction.

It is ONE thing to sacrifice one's OWN dignity,but did you have to do it to the H's self image????
Next time,just paint YOURSELF green and yellow and walk around if you need attention that bad!

I had the opportunity of running some hydraulic tests at the M-F test farm at Thomasville, GA many years ago and they had several different brands of tractors, including their own M-Fs, painted the colors of competitor brands to disquise from a distance what they were actually testing. Was strange to see a M-F in JD green with a little red and gray showing through up close.
