H Carb; Rich or Lean??

I rebuilt my carb, and set it per instructions. Both the idle mix screw and main fuel screw are set so they are about 3/8 turn beyond the smooth-running point. The engine starts instantly, (less than one second cranking), accelerates real smoothly, has plenty of power, no smoke, no problems. My worry? Both screws wound up set at 1 turn open. My worry is the main fuel screw. It is only 1 turn open. Seems like it runs perfectly, but if it is lean, is that bad? All the info I have seen says 2 1/2 turns open.
I only use the H for around-the-place chores, no heavy pulling.
Thanks guys.

If it's lean, it's gonna stumble and sputter; too rich and it's gonna smoke black.

I'd leave it where ya got it set. If it's not broke, don't fix it. :>)

The number of turns spec is meant to be a "sure thing" setting that will get the tractor started.

It's NOT intended to be a spec to LEAVE the carb set at.

You've done it right, don't over think it!

If in doubt, put a brand new set of plugs in and monitor them over time. If they're black you're rich, if they're tan you're good, if they're looking damaged, melted, or strange in any way, you're probably lean.
