1066 clutch problems

I have a 1066 clutch that works but it reminds me of a 560 that needs adjusting with the torque.
If I push the clutch all the way in it works fine but if I let it up it seems to lock the transmission.
It does have the hyd. assist. Torque seems to work ok. Would anyone have any ideas. Thank you for any help.

Sounds like you need to adjust the dump valve as it does the same things a 560 does only with hydraulic pressure. If the red light for trans oil pressure works, adjust so light just goes out when engaging clutch before tractor starts to move. Or drive it up an incline and adjust so tractor will roll freely backwards with clutch fully released but will not roll back just a tad before clutch starts pulling tractor. May even be correct the way it is from your description.
