A gen belt replace

The reason I ask is that an A shouldn't have a water pump.

Unless it's a later model engine, or one was retrofitted.

Normally I would say nothing should need to be removed to replace the belt.

If there IS a water pump, I wouldn't THINK it needs to be removed, but I can't say for sure.
 
You dont need to remove the water pump but you will need to remove the belt that runs it. If you get the fan assy loose and down as far as it goes removing the belt from the water pump you should be able to install the new gen belt. Have fun your knuckles will have some sore spots when you are done. Good luck and have fun.
