Farmall C grill

The grill on my C used to have the hole for the crank start but someone patched it up from the back side for some reason. Kinda would like to re-open it. Can someone post a close up photo of this hole with some dimensions. I'd like to mess with this over the winter.

I have my grill off an on the shop bench doing some bondo on it right now.

when I get home, if no one else has posted, I'll take close up shots with a ruler out for measurement.

Dimensions are 2 inches wide by 1.25 high. Hope this helps. Brian

Here is the grill I just took off my super C that belongs on a C as well as a radiator.
I had to replace both radiator and grill

One word of warning - they probably patched it because it either got torn up or rusted out.

In other words, more of a mess than can just be hammered out. Might have to do some cutting and welding to fix it properly.

Not a big deal if you've got the equipment and patience.

Kinda what I thought as well. Will look it over real good before I decide to open it up. Just would like it to look original and maybe even play with the crank start. Its a winter project so I've got plenty of time to mess with it.

Not perfect but will do the job. Sorry bout the fuzzy pic. Cheap camera.
Didn't feel like re-cutting the groove.
