Thanks for the responses on my family H. The serial number is 100907. I checked casting codes and found 3-4-L on the housing between the engine and transmission. The cylinder head code is 1-14-L as far as I can tell. I hope I'm reading these codes right and that it will help somebody etermine when it was made. Thanks to all,

Serial # and Casting Codes Tell me you have a "42" .Codes are correct for the year 1_14_L means that head was cast on Jan/14/1942 .
