while putting on a clean shirt before heading to night job, big brown truck dropped me off my pulley for my C.

can't wait till tomorrow afternoon so I can get into it.. ;)

as far as i can tell , crank shaft seal pushed out of the bacl of the cover, then is inserted from the back of the cover.. correct?

Yes the seal is installed from the rear. Before you install the new pulley better have someone do a good job of reading a mike on both the crank and id of the hole on the pulley.

Yep pretty easy job, just make sure toleave the timing cover bolts loose until you get the pulley on the shaft so it gets centered right. If you have a manual it tells you all this anyway.

The seals from IH used to come with a wear sleeve. Make sure the hole in the timeing cover is large enough to clear the wear sleeve.

i got the oe wear sleave, and a speedi sleave. i must say.. the speedi sleave is much 'thinner' than the comparitively beefy IH one. however, BOTH will let the seal slip over them upon push thru test with a lil grease on the lip of the seal.
