Hi guys,
I want to build my M to pull for next year. Locally there are 6500 farm stock classes or 6000 semi modified i believe its called, i need help or advice on what you guys would recommend for upgrades/parts/where to get them or who to do business with, currently the tractor is 100% stock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

You could slap a turbo on it. I have one on my Super M and im makin 90 horse. I don't know what your rules are though. I have some videos on youtube under "farmerboy2003" if you wanna look.

thanks guys, i didnt even realize there was a pulling forum ill check that. Im in north central IL so i would be going to alot of ISP pulls, and some that are not sanctioned but follow similar rules as ISP, i tried to do business with dennys but the woman that answers the phone is the most unprofessional, unfriendly person i have ever spoken to, last time she hung up on me. wth?? haha thanks guys!

Get the rules and that will tell you what to do. There isn't much more to it than that. There is a reason they make a rule so take it all to the max.

God bless ya for wanting to build a puller. Getting the rules, as sflem849 has stated is absolutely the place to start.

The pulling forum here is also good advice.

My only comment that has not yet been made is that you had better be ready for sticker shock. I have not built a pullin' tractor, but I have souped up a few car and truck engines over the years. To do it right, costs $$$ to be really competative. I am NOT trying to dissuade you, but you do need to go into this with eyes and wallet WIDE open.......it is a heck of alot of fun, won't argue that. I built a towing engine for a guy once, and we couldn't keep stock engine mounts or drive shafts in the darn thing. Still makes me smile.............Was built for torque, and she had it! Everyone gets giddy over HP, I happen to be a torque guy, which is why I always preferred the Olds 350 to the Chevy as a foundation for a project. oh well, off topic. Nuff said.

THAT WOMEN DID THE SAME THING TO ME!!! What a way to run a business! I couldn't believe it myself. A buddy round here said he got the same treatment. Yea, i won't do business there EVER AGAIN.
