H engine valve lash adjustment

Hi, I'd like to adjust the valves on my 1950 H, I found the valve clearance is .017 on int and exh when hot, is there any cold spec? Thanks alot

There is no actual spec for cold settings, but 0.020" will be close enough.

just cuz your in the corn crib or what?? Yeah the approch may work for you for awhile. I can see not using a feeler guage, but torque wrench? Your elbow isn't the same everytime. I set clutch pack clearences all the time by sight and feel. But torque? Helps to have it even steven. I know you can torque an entire H together with a 3/8 ratchet and it will run but come on.
