I installed my new to me Cub 54-A snow plow and am only able to raise it a couple inches off the ground The hydraulic lever is about 1/2 way and it is on the ground Is this correct or is there an adjustment I'm missing

The piece that bolts to the right side of tractor is what you adjust the height of the lift with. That should be about straight up and down or a little bit ahead at the bottom. That will move the whole plow further out in front of the tractor. The further out it is the higher it will lift. I also put a piece of heavy angle iron on mine from the piece under the tractor to the draw bar on rear. Thei will keep the plow from pushing back if hitting something solid. Hope this helps

There is no adjustment there. The only adjustment available is above the spring on the front yoke. There are two holes to attach the lifting lever. Pick the upper hole or the lower hole.
