Tractor vet gas 6 cyl. ?

I need a governor for my Hydro 70 with C291. Would $295 for a used one be a fair price? Would rebuilding be cheaper? Are the parts available?
 
Don't ask me what a FAIR price would be on used parts as i have know idea till i call someone that sells the stuff . as for REBUILDING what is wrong with it bad bearings wore out flyweight pins wore out fly weights?? Here again i am at the mercy of the parts people also .
 
thank you for your help. Out west here we don't have a lot choice for wrecking yards. I haven't taken it off yet. The tractor is still running but the gov. arm vibrates pretty hard and it makes quite a bit of noise from that side of the engine.
