1956 cub lowboy not getting any spark, how do i check the magneto, or repair it, thank you

Don't pull the mag remove the cover and clean the points with some 320 wet or dry until shiny. Then see if the engine will start. Check the point gap when rubbing block is on high point of lobe. Set at .013" if it has the IH mag.. Hal
