Where do you go for tires? looking for 5.50x16 and am a bit surprised at the prices I am seeing.

Is there any place fopr used tires on the internet?

[b:cb3b1ca4a1]M's originally came with 6.00-16.
Try that for pricing.
My MD has 6.50-16.

5.50x16 are alittle small for an M.6.50x16 is normal.Any tire store(NOT Walmart, etc) should be able to get them.forget about 'used'-they simply do not exist. And yes, tires are expencive these days.

Not cheap for sure.
I just put a new set of Firestone's on mine.
About $230 with the new tubes and mounting.

There's no doubt about it. Tires are expensive. They're a petroleum product.

All you can do is shop the local tire shops for best price. The Internet is a waste of time because by the time you pay shipping and pay someone to mount them, any savings over the local guy is long gone.

I had pretty good luck picking up used front tires, with some mounted on good rims, on Ebay. I got three sets that way. The shipping wasn't too bad as they just taped the tires together and slaped a shiping tag on the tire. I couldn't find any local used tire deals for a reasonable price.

I bought a Sampson 6.00x16 for my M last week. I'm in Canada, and it cost me 90. plus 18. for a tube and thats not including tax. Kent

Well, the one thing i didn't expect was to learn that my tractor should have 6.0 or 6.50x16s. Will those fit on the same rims as my 5.50s?
