IH 766 Front Loader

My 766's front loader runs off the two rear remotes. I would like to set it up to run off something else so I can put in a joystick and free up the remotes for implemnts. I have heard of some guys running a PTO pump for this, but I would like to avoid ding that since some of my equipment is PTO driven. It has a year round cab. I information would be helpful

IH had a power beyond kit that was attached back by the hydraulic spools that give you another place to get oil pressure to run valves.Look in the discussion forums about this.

Yeah, but it's not that simple.

You not only need the plate, but you need to replace the "outer" style valve with an "inner" style valve. That's another $350 on top of the $350 for the plate. Then add in the joystick cost... You're well over $1000.

The outer style valve has the end plate cast as part of the valve, and you cannot install the power beyond plate.

Frankly, I don't get what the big deal is. When we needed the loader tractor to operate implements, we took the loader off. It was a 5 minute job with the mount-o-matic. Newer quick-attach loaders are even easier.

Beat the heck out of trying to work around that stupid loader all day.

Try getting on and off the tractor multipal times in a day when needed to switch those darn hoses with disabilities like here in the winter to both feed bales and run a snow blower, taking the loader off isn't an option. Plus I don't have the luxury of having a quick disconnect loader. As soon as I can afford (got other tings that are more important at the time) it I'm going power beyond.

If you install a joystick, you only need one set of remotes. This will give you a set of remotes for other uses. i also though about the power beyond, but its expensive and time consuming. i like my set up with the joystick running my loader. Kent
