Soundguy, You can look up part #"s on case IH
There is a break down of most tractors. Than you can Have NAPA cross the # to see if they can get it. If not most case IH dealers will ship it to you no mater where you are. If YT does not list it sepratly you can still call them to see if you can buy just the front seal not the hole kit. oldiron29

Take a good look at the hub on the damper pulley to make sure there's no groove worn into the hub.
If it has a groove you need a speedi-sleeve to cover that surface. Napa should have the speedi-sleeve and seal.

To answer your question I think a complete gasket set should include the items you mentioned. Hal

Buy your manuals from www.external_link, the pages and diagrams are clearer. They are digital copies of the original IH manuals. Jensales sold by this site claim that they have switched to digital, which would make their manuals easier to read. However they toss in a lot of advertising and the manuals are bound differently than the original IH/binder books ones. If the gasket kit is the same one as the ones with their engine kits, which I have purchased EVERY seal will be there. If all you need is the front seal and gasket, get the numbers from www.caseIH.com and purchase from the nearest CIH dealer, or order from www.external_link, you will get them in 3-4 days. NAPA, etc can cross the numbers, they will likely have to order also.

Here's the link to the parts lookup. You need to enter it as "Farmall C" as "C" alone doesn't bring up the parts cat.

at a minimum I know I need a manifold gasket, timing cover gasket and front seal. figured if they ae all 9-10$ items.. it might be just as easy to buy the 50$ master kit. but will sure look up the #'s and see what napa says.

unfortunately no CIH dealer within many, many cities of me... many hours drive :(

Also need a pto seal.. am sure that is seperate... bt maybee napa has it as well.

wonder if it can be changed from t he outside. almost looks like it can.

thanks

Yes, you can pull the PTO seal or in my case dig it out. I usually make a small hole and use a slide puller first. Works sometimes, sometimes not. Hard to get seals from CaseIH for less than $20 up, they are usually 30-50% higher than anyone else.

yep, i've got a slide hammer with a 'screw' end for pulling seals or body pannel dents. I've pulled some external shaft seals before.. this one LOOKED like you could do it. but again.. new with these reds.. figured I'd ask before trying just in case.

thanks for the help.

appreciate it.
