I'm a ford guy.. but love trikes. couldn't pass this up.. got it decently cheap. Very early C

needs a front oil seal bad. guess I will be pulling the front, cooling sys, tins, and pulley and timing cover to put a seal in the cover.

anyone got a napa or car quest number for the front seal? mines pouring oil at a good clip.

thanks

Better get your self a cover for that exhaust pipe before you forget the soup[ can LOL. The tires look like they are almost worth 75% of what you payed for the tractor.

one is checked heavier than the other.. but still look tough.. I have plenty of fords with WORSE tires still doing good.

any yup.

I got a large dog food can to put over the stack till I can get a flap cap for it.

Yep understand tires. My 1947 Allis W Speed patrol has tires on it that are bad. I was told over 15 years ago I needed to replace them and I told the guy then I will when the tube starts showing or I can not keep them aired up. Well they are still on it and still holding air and no tube showing. The tread is coming off in places but hey they have been that way doe a long long time

i have a 951 that has BALD rears. tread has peeled off to 1st layer of cord. no tube showing. since i just run it in grass.. I just run it.. :)

thanks.

while I'm a ford man.. I do like the IH tractors. i have a 66 cub, and almost had a 49H, missed it by a couple hours.. was a nice machine. I mowed with it a few times for the owner, and he put it up for sale and it sold before i could get off work one day. :)

I love trikes, and just couldn't resist this one.

paid 800$ starter is bad, needs a battery, wireing.. and a front seal in the timing cover for the crank pulley.. otherwise she runs, and has oil pressure and some brakes, and pto and hyds work, steering is remarkably good.. tires are checked and dry, but holding. governor seems responsive and kept her from stalling starting out in 4th or low rpm and 1st to trailer her.

looking forward to getting her back to beautiful status over the winter and spring.

will surely need help from the membership here to do so, inthe way of part numbers and advice... etc.

if it was a ford trike.. I'd know just what to do, how, when where..e tc. but I'm starting from near scratch on these red ones.

Yea,so What are YOU doing over here anyway????Dont you have some 900 Ford Row Crop that needs attention???? (LOL KIDDING:)

Them Cs are good tractors too!!!

At least you are sticking with the 2 groups that were the best sellers of their times I.H./Ford

I've always liked IH. I almost had a 49H as a tractor long before I got into fords. wonder if that would have changed my direction any.. :)

I think you will come to love that tractor......so seing as how you can now get rid of a Ford........
